Arrest made in Jasper County murder

RIDGELAND, SC (WTOC) - Jasper County sheriff's deputies made an arrest in a murder that took place over the weekend. They say Benjamin Shawn Griffin Jr., 21, shot and killed Francisco Adame, 19, at 9:15 p.m. July 28.

They say Adame was in an SUV with several others on Nettles Road, west of Ridgeland, when the gunman shot him in the neck.

Deputies: Package yields 12 pounds of pot

The Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force with the help of the U.S. Postal Service arrested two people on May 31 in connection with trafficking marijuana.

Investigators learned a package was being shipped from McAllen, Texas, to Ridgeland, S.C. The package caught the attention of U.S. Postal Service.

2 arrested on trafficking cocaine charges

Two men were arrested on drug charges after an investigation aimed at cocaine dealing.

Members of the Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, I.C.E. and the Jasper County Sheriff's Department arrested Fredrick L. Frost, 34, of Tillman, S.C., and Dwayne E. Fulton, 40, of Ridgeland, on May 31 at 15448 Whyte Hardee Blvd.
